EVENTS OF APRIL
We were privileged in April to observe the first baptismal service in Tultepec. They baptized 6. PTL! A big thank you to those of you who have given special offerings to help with the ministry at the feeding center. The Bible study in Iztapalapa is progressing. The last Friday night of April we had 8 in attendace, 3 adults and 5 young people, plus the missionaries. One of these ladies, Zaida, has shown interest in being personally discipled also. We are also planning to get our Kids Club going in June. Plans for this are in the works now.
Lori had the privilege of organizing the April Ladies meeting for Iglesia Bautista de la Capital. The meeting was held on April 26th with more than 60 ladies in attendance. April 30th is Children’s Day in Mexico so Lori used a children’s theme for the meeting. The game was a piñata, the memory verse was a bubble gum game, the snack was ice cream, and the tablecloths were paper so the ladies could color on them.
All of the ladies were encouraged to dress up in costumes of little girls and the result was wonderful. There was a light-hearted spirit to the meeting and a real attentiveness when the lesson was taught. Best of all, there were 6 first time visitors present.
OUR FIRST EARTHQUAKE
Sunday evening, April 27th, we felt our first tremors since arriving in Mexico City. The earthquake was a 5.6 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was located near Acapulco (about a 4 hour drive). We didn’t feel more than a little swaying of the building and noticed the lights swaying. PTL!
SUMMER CAMPS
Plans are under way for summer camp. We are praying for more than 3,000 campers. The focus is for un-saved, un-churched youth to come and have the opportunity to be saved. The camps will begin July 10th and finish up on August 2nd. Please pray with us now for many young people to be reached through this ministry.

Michael has just completed his 4th year of homeschooling and finished 8th grade. He would like to attend a Christian school near our home for high school. The cost is $200 per month and isn’t something we budgeted for in our monthly support. If anyone would like to help send Michael to this school mark your offerings “Michael’s schooling.” He would appreciate it and mom and dad would also!
