JULY 2009
June was a very busy month! We finished up our second English course with some very contented students. We also continued with Kids Club every Saturday morning. The kids are really learning and it was so encouraging to have them ask us if we would continue Kids Club during the summer vacation. We are working in a part of the city where very few of the families leave for the summer vacation. As a result, the children our searching for things to do. We are very excited to report that last Saturday, June 27th, a boy and three girls accepted Christ as their Savior in Kids Club Praise the Lord for the faith of a child.
June was also busy with planning for the future. This Sunday, July 5th, will be our first service in Tlahuac. We are excited, nervous, amazed, but most of all are anticipating the blessings of God. We can see the hand of God in preparing our area of Mexico City for a new Gospel preaching church. Tony Seguro is one of our English students. He accepted Christ many years ago through a church in Los Angeles, CA. He has continued trying to walk with the Lord since that time, but he never found a church in which to be a part of. Like a dry sponge, Tony has soaked up the Bible lessons James teaches at the end of each English class. Last Sunday he attended Friend Day with us at Iglesia Bautista de la Capital and loved it. He enjoyed the music but especially the message of fellowmissionary Bro. Ed Hoagland. He told us afterwards that he has been searching for a church like this for many years. We were able to hear his testimony of salvation this week and are very excited that he has a desire to help us in the work in Tlahuac. We have been practicing the music for Sunday and are very excited to have Tony's help with the music part of the service. He also told us that he has invited two of his brothers and their families to join with us for services this Sunday. Neither of them are Christians, but they are very open to hearing the Gospel. Please pray for Alejandro, Adrian, and their families. Another of our students also told us this week that she accepted Christ years ago but has never found a church in which to worship. She told us that she would be in the services Sunday as well. PTL! God is bringing together a group of believers to do a work and make a difference in the lives of the people of Tlahuac.
Summer Camps
Once again, the Hoaglands are overseeing summer camps for the youth of Mexico City. We participated last year and over a thousand young people accepted Christ. Because of our responsibilities in Tlahuac, we will not be going to the camps this year, but Michael will be! He is excited to be going as a worker. This next week he will be helping with the children's camps and then will continue to work in the Jr. High and High School camps as well.Special Need
In starting a new ministry there are many additional expenses. As a result, we find ourselves in need of some special help for our VISA renewals ($400) as well as some of the other needs of the ministry like printing tracts etc. If the Lord lays this need upon your heart we would appreciate so much any extra financial help you could send at this time. It is exciting to see what God is doing and we look forward to even greater reports in the near future!

Michael's Corner
Please pray for Michael as he is learning to drive. Pray for Dad and Mom as well. We want him to learn to drive well, just not like they do hereMichael is also getting excited about how he can be a help in the new work in Tlahuac. He is learning to play the guitar so he can help with the music. He is also wanting to help get a youth group started.
We appreciate each of you!
