JANUARY 2010

2009 was a year of many "firsts" for the Bradleys.
1. We started our first work in Tlahuac. 2. We rented our first building. 3. We taught our first English classes.
4. We had our first Vacation Bible School. 5. We led our first Mexican to Christ. 6. We started our Kids Club. 7. We started a weekly Bible Study. 8. We started holding Sunday Services. 9. We had our first person saved in the services. 10. We started discipleship classes. 11. We had our first attendance campaign.
12 We had our first baptism. 13. We started our ladies ministry. 14. We started a men's ministry. 15. We had our first attendance campaign. 16. We had our first friend day with 35 in attendance. 17. We started bi-monthly youth meetings. 18. We had our first Christmas play. 19. We started supporting our first missionary. 20. We started many new relationships that will last through eternity.
During all of our ministries throughout the year we saw 42 people come to know Christ as their Savior and one person follow the Lord in baptism.

When we read this list, we rejoice in what the Lord has done in Tlahuac in 2009. However, there is so much more to do in 2010. We want to reach more people for Christ, see more lives changed by

and through His power and love, and see His church grow. We want to see His people grow in their knowledge of Him and in their service to Him. We want to see us grow personally and become better servants of Him.

December was a great month for many reasons. First of all, four boys in Kids Club accepted Christ as their Savior. Praise the Lord. Secondly, we had our Kids Club Christmas play. They did an awesome job. We had about 25 family members there to see them perform. Click here to view the opening and closing songs of their play as posted on YouTube.

We had a wonderful time and thanks to a church in Honeydew, CA we were able to give the children their scarfs and hats, as well as a stocking with school supplies and a few candies. Of course no Christmas celebration in Mexico is complete without a piņata. So this year, we had three: one for the kids, one for the youth, and one for the mission as a whole. It was especially hilarious to watch the teenagers hit the piņata blindfolded and seated on the floor. (I'll post photos to our website as soon as I receive them.)

December 12th was our first youth meeting. We had 16 present, 9 of

which were young people from Tlahuac. Three young people from another mission not too far away came to join us as well. It was an awesome time of games, songs, and a brief devotional. Praise the Lord for Tonny Segura, our guitarist, who taught the devotion for the very first time.

We closed out the year with good attendance in the services. We had 16 and 17 for the last two services of the year.

For the new year, we are trying to have an increased focus on prayer. We know that it is through prayer that we will see God do great things in 2010. Here are some specific prayer requests:

1. to reach more men and see
    them coming to the services.
2. Venancio and Juan to be saved
or get right with God and get
     back in church.
3. To see fruit from our English
     classes.
4. For God to send us a Mexican
couple to help us in the work.

As always, thank you for your faithfulness in your support and prayers on our behalf. This is truly a team effort as we work together to reach Tlahuac for Christ.
