FEBUARY 2010

Another month has passed and the ministry in Tlahuac continues. First, we apologize that this letter is a little later in the month than normal. Lori had to make an unexpected trip to Phoenix for the funeral of her brother. It was a quick trip, but she is very thankful to have had that time with her family. Her brother knew the Lord and she and her family are thankful that he is in Heaven.

We have had a great January. Our attendance has increased and we our averaging almost 20. We are also happy to report that Carlos, the son of one of our faithful ladies, accepted Christ and has been in church ever since. Carlos is 22 and wants to grow in the Lord. Please pray for him as he starts his Christian life.

We are challenging our people to learn the books of the Bible. We are all the way through the Old Testament and it is exciting to see some of our people making progress. Maricruz didn’t know any of them to start with and can now say the entire Old Testament in order. Not only is this helping her in her Bible reading, but it is encouraging her to study more. The prize for all who can say the
books of the Bible is an “American Supper” cooked by us. James is even going to make them apple pie. That should be enough to make everyone want to learn!

We had a good month in Kids Club. We have started a new series on the Fruit of the Spirit. We have seen some new kids from our English classes start coming. They are enjoying it and learning more about the Lord and His Word. Please pray that through the children we will be able to reach the parents as well.

We have been busy making plans for the coming year as well. We will be having a Vacation Bible School March 29th – April 2nd. This is the week before Easter and all of the schools are closed for Easter vacations. We are also planning another Friend Day for March 21st. Please pray with us for God to bring in a harvest of souls through these special events.

In January, we did experience one of those good problems to have. The problem was we didn’t have enough chairs for the people without the children having to carryt heir chair to their class next door. We wanted to buy 20 stools
for the children but didn’t have to. Juan Velasquez, a deacon at Iglesia Bautista de la Capital, has a factory that makes these chairs and he donated them to our mission. Praise the Lord! However, now we are starting to deal with a space issue. The third salon is available to rent for 2000 pesos (about $150 US dollars). This would enable us to take out the wall between two of the salons to have sufficient space for the services. We are waiting on the Lord to provide the funds for this or lead us to another option. We will also be needing to purchase more tables and chairs in the coming months if anyone would like to help with these purchases

Please continue to pray:
1. to reach more men and see them coming to the services.
2. Venancio and Juan to be saved or get right with God and get in church.
3. To see fruit from our English classes.
4. For God to send us a Mexican couple to help us in the work.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and support. We appreciate you!

James, Lori, and Michael Bradley
