EVENTS OF EASTER

Wow, Easter was incredible. We started off the Sunday before Easter at Manna One. We helped pass out invitations on the street before the service. Pastor Robles, one of the national pastors, and his choir came and performed an Easter cantata.. People responded to the invitation and at least 3 were saved. .

Saturday we went to Tultepec to help Pastor Hugo with an evangelistic campaign. 7 adults from another church came to help as well. 7 adult teams (of 2) went door to door to share the Gospel with whomever would listen. James was partnered with Pastor Hugo and they had the privilege of leading a teenage boy to Christ. The other teams saw two saved. Lori was in charge of the teens from the Mission. Their job was to go to areas close to the church and just invite folks for the special services. During the service Saturday night, Lori, Michael, and another single missionary taught the children. Four adults accepted Christ in the main service. Pastor Robles preached this service and afterwards asked James and Lori if they could come and teach the

children during the presentation of the cantata Easter morning because his trained workers were involved in the musical. We went and had a great time with the kids, and at the completion of the cantata, when the invitation was given, 15 people responded and received Christ.

Easter evening we went to Izcalli Chamapa where we again taught the children while the cantata was performed. At the close of this service, 8 people responded and accepted Christ! Praise the Lord! We went home that evening exhausted but very happy! We aren’t here in Mexico just to teach the kids, but we are so thankful for the opportunities to serve our Lord wherever He opens doors.

NEW BIBLE STUDY

We are teaming with another missionary couple to start a Bible Study in the delegation of Iztapalapa. We will start with Friday night Bible Studies and are also planning a neighborhood Bible club for the kids. Please pray with us that we will be able to reach families with the Gospel. Our prayer is that this will form a nucleus with which to birth a new church.

MICHAEL’S CORNER

Michael was busy during Easter week also. He went with the teens in Tultepec to pass out invitations for the services. He was rather surprised when the response to the knock on one door was the moo of a cow. He was even more surprised when, at the same door, a dog walked up behind him and vomited on his pant leg. He maintained a positive attitude through it all. Way to go Michael!!!
