Mexico's Place in the World Mexico has the fifth largest oil reserves in the world Mexico's Gross National Product ranks 12th in the world. Mexico is making strides in education: 99% of the population has primary education; 53% has secondary and 15% has higher education. Mexico City, with a population approaching 10 million, is the largest city in the history of civilization. Mexico's Need There are over 40 Mexican cities with populations of over 100,000 people. The Baptist Bible Fellowship has works in only a dozen or so of these cities. Mexico City Mexico City is the largest city in North America and second most populous conurbation in the world, after Tokyo, with approximately 26 million people. Some consider the population to be as high as 35 million depending on where greater Mexico City division lines are drawn.
