Dear “Amigos en Cristo,”

These last few weeks have been very busy for both us and the folks at our main church. We have to jam all our summer activities in just six weeks. We had two different mission teams that made trips this year to teach DVBS. Our first team went to work with the Tarahumara Indians and the second team went to a farm village where we sponsor the mission. Sandwiched between those two trips was our Youth Camp. Two weeks ago was Children’s Camp and last week and this week 36 of our members will be working in DVBS that will be held in six of our member’s homes. We are praying that we will be able to start a mission work in at least one of these homes. Of course, we are not able to be as active as we once were, but it is great to see the members get under the load of serving the Lord and to see his blessings on the work continue. Bro. Alejandro Velasquez is doing a great job as co-pastor with me. There were a total of 139 saved through the Bible Schools, and 15 young people surrendered to serve the Lord (they were from 5 different churches) though the Youth Camp. Most of these are too young to enter Institute for a few years. Four weeks ago we also had a baptismal service and 5 were baptized. Last Sunday we had 296 in attendance and had 6 adults saved.

This last week I met with the professors who will be teaching this year at our Bible Institute. This will be our 19th year of teaching at the Institute here in Juarez. We founded the school with the help of Paul Alexander and Bob Frazier in 1986. We have students pastoring in Argentina, Mexico, and the United States. We are never sure how many students we will have until classes start, but it looks like we should have 14-16 this year. We have a few young men, who should graduate this year, which we believe could become pastors o assistants in the Lord’s vineyard. Please pray for us and for them.

Each time we sit down to write our prayer letters; we are reminded that you are the ones that humanly speaking makes it possible. We are thankful that the Lord has seen fit to use us for his honor and glory. This summer, we started our 37th year as missionaries. It has been a wonderful experience. We thank many of you for 36 years of faithful support.

Yours for MEXICO,

Garland and Charlene Hamilton
