May 2010

Thank you for your continual prayer. We asked you to pray for the Ladies Bible studies in both churches, and they are doing well. We were able to have a Mother/Daughter Banquet for the teens and their mom’s from both works at our home on Mother’s Day weekend. Trench Town is considered a ghetto, and the International Church is a very affluent sector of the population, but according to Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Everyone had a great time, and it was a blessing for the women from both churches to meet and fellowship with each other.

Our theme for our Missions Months of April and May has been Mark 16:15a “Go Ye”. Easily memorized, now comes application! We are all focusing on realizing the witnessing tools surrounding us every day. We are also making “Farley Cards” from Kid’s Evangelism Explosion, adapted to our church needs. I am praying and personally excited as our congregations use their cards to present the gospel to our community, family and friends. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will convict hearts and give strength and boldness to the harvesters.

School continues here until the 2nd week of July, so we are still busy with Awana in both churches. Please continue to pray for our Awana clubs, as this has been one of the most effective tools we have seen for reaching children for Christ.
