We never know the final effects of the Vacation Bible school.  Several years ago some kids who lived close to the church attended.  The grandmother came to the closing service.  She liked the church and has been faithful in attendance.  Last Wednesday evening we were surprised when four of her sons and two of her daughters and their families came for the prayer meeting service.  Her testimony was how happy she was that all of her children have been saved.  The family had been together the night before and they agreed they wanted to attend the mid-week services and to thank the Lord for the many blessings they had received.  There were two more sons and one more daughter who could not attend because of work.  There were more than 35 of her family who attended.  Her youngest son, Fernando, who couldnšt come, is taking discipleship lessons.  He had made a profession of faith several years ago but wasnšt living for the Lord.  One night on his way home from work and after a few beers, he ran off the road and wrecked his car.  He left the car and went to the police station to report his car stolen.  Later he called his older brother and they found the car in a ditch, completely demolished.  He decided it was time for him to get his life in order.  He has been faithful in church every since he had his episode.

CARLA PAULA
Last Sunday Carlos and his wife, another one of the Almansa family, dedicated their baby to the Lord. Carla Paula was a surprise.  Her younger sister is twelve and she has two other older sisters.  She is a great blessing to her family.

ANOTHER ADVENTURE. . .
A couple of weeks ago I had an interesting experience with a 14 year old girl. One of our ladies is a teacher in one of the high schools here in Saltillo and had met Norma in her class.  For several weeks Norma had been talking to Claudia about her life in witchcraft.  Her family has been involved in the occult for many years and she had followed in their footsteps, but had begun to find the way was very hard.  She talked to Claudia and when Claudia testified to her about the Lord, she was interested but very afraid.  She heard voices all the time and there were at least two demons in her room all the time, a small boy and a man who drifted about like a curtain.  Claudia asked if we would talk with her, and brought Norma to meet us at the church on Saturday morning.  No one was sure if she would come, but Claudia went after her and insisted she come.  When I began talking to her, she didnšt really understand anything I was saying and when I asked her what the voices were saying, she said they  were saying, "Donšt listen, this is a lie."  After going through the plan of salvation I asked her if she would like to be saved and she said, no.  I really didnšt know what to do at that point, but I asked her to read the Scripture to me out loud.  She said, "I read this Scripture to them."  I asked her who they were, and she said "them, and I read it to them backwards in my room."  At that moment a demonic presence fell upon all of us, and after resisting the devil out loud, we were able to continue.  She began to read with great difficulty but continued to do better with each word.  Finally, after she had read the plan of salvation, I asked her if she would like to be saved, and she said part of me yes, and part of me no.  I asked her what she had to lose and she said "Nothing".  I asked her to pray after me and she followed, praying the words after me.  When we finished I asked her what the voices were saying, and she said, "They're gone!"  I was afraid to tell her she was saved because I canšt see her heart, but I told her if she had prayed believing in Christ, she was saved. When she left she was exhausted because it had been a real battle, and I was also exhausted.  My husband and Claudiašs husband had been praying the whole time, as had Claudia and I.  Since then Claudia has been able to have some classes with Norma and they have been going through the Bondage Breaker.  Norma said there was still one spirit in her room and Claudia told her how to cleanse her room through prayer.  It will be a difficult time for a while because she was so bound and has been in to everything occult that can be imagined.  Pray for her, and for us as we are seeing lots of demonic activity at this time.  But God has already won the victory over Satan and all his armies, so we have that victory, too.                  Rosalie
