December, 1999 Dear Praying Friends, The Lord has blessed us this past year, and we look forward with anticipation to the new millennium! The works go well, we have 20 to 30 adults coming to services on Sunday mornings and we also have many new visitors coming to our ESL outreach classes! Please continue to pray with us that many of these new students will come to a saving knowledge of Christ soon! We have 14 students in the new Bible college program we are helping to get started, please pray that we will be able to obtain permanent, more suitable facilities in the future for the church and school. Our international couples outreach also continues to grow as we make more new contacts. We have 16 families we have met, the majority of them non-Christian, please continue to pray for their salvation also! Our boys continue to get older, they will be 17 and 18 years old this January and February! Our older boy, Nathan, has a chance to get a job next week with a Christian businessman and his company. As most of you know, raising teenagers these days is quite a challenge, but we are thankful for the grace and wisdom the Lord gives us. Please pray for many of their friends that are unsaved. Just recently, one of them asked me to give him a Bible. We pray the power of the word of God will convict his heart and show him his need of salvation! Please continue to also pray with us that we will be able to raise an additional $2000.US to help our boys buy an old, second hand car so they can get back and forth to work. And also an additional $2000.US to help start the process of getting landed immigrant status here in Canada. If some of our existing supporting churches could also give us a raise in support, even just $10.00 a month, it would help tremendously in meeting our monthly expenses! God Bless, Merry Christmas and have a wonderful, happy New Year of service for our Lord. Love in Christ,
Field of VancouverThe Vancouver area is a city of many different and diverse
cultures. The main culture represented are Asians, specifically Chinese,
along with Asians from other countries from South East Asia. There are
Indians from India, Europeans and of course, those originally born here in
the lower mainland of Canada. Basically you get a mosaic of all the world's
cultures represented in Vancouver! The harvest is plenteous, but the laborers
are few! Pray for more laborers and for a rich harvest of souls here in
Vancouver!
