Prayer Letter
Dear Friends in Christ,
Gene Willcut now with the Lord was my good friend! We first met the Willcut
family when they were approved as missionaries of the BBFI. He was an
exceptional man of God. He was over the age limit but due to his exceptional
ability and character he was approved. His love for the Mexican people was
evident from the beginning. After his language study in Mexico City, I invited
him to Linares and was willing to turn over to him several churches in that area
and those in the Mountains of Nuevo Leon. He did a great job in maintaining
these works, and build churches in every village and most ranches in the area.
Our loss will be Heaven¹s gain.
Please pray for the annual Pastor¹s Retreat Fellowship that will be conducted in
northern Mexico at a youth camp just south of Monterrey March 25-28. It is one
of two meetings the BBF Mexico celebrates each year. Pastor Francisco (Kiko)
Sanchez of Macedonia Baptist Church of Monterrey is the president of BBF Mexico.
The churches of Monterrey area are host for this meeting.
For you who have helped us each year on our DVBS project we ask you once again
to come to our aid. This year we have ordered material for another 3,000 boys
and girls whom we desire to reach with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. This
year we hope to reach over NINE THOUSAND boys and girls.
Please pray about having a financial part in the DVBS this year. I believe it is
the greatest investment in souls for the money. For many years the results have
been one soul for every dollar invested. Please pray for this year¹s workers and
of course for the many lost boys and girls of Mexico
Beloved, we are so thankful for your prayers and financial help toward our
ministry. God continues to bless our efforts and those of the Mexican pastors
who are carrying on the daily work. We are happy that God allows us to have a
part in His work.
Yours for Souls in Mexico,
Lonnie & Margie Smith
