Prayer Letter
November
2009

Dear Pastor and friends,

ALFONSO ALVIZO: We just finished a series of six special evangelistic services with Alfonso Alvizo who came from Querétaro to preach for us. Lupita, an elderly lady, accepted Christ as her Savior as did a

young man named Eduardo. Another elderly lady, Noemi, accepted Christ as Savior in her home. She is also fighting cancer right now. It was great to see the church full every night. It was particularly noticeable to see so many people come who had dropped out of church these last few years. Pray with us that they keep coming and that the new believers grow in grace and faith!

CLASSES: We have resumed classes for this semester and most of the students are doing quite well. We would love to see more enroll in January. Please pray with us to that end.

YOUTH GROUPS: We split the youth group into two groups so that age appropriate lessons and activities could be planned more effectively. Please pray for Noe Hernandez as he oversees the single adults and for Pablo Perez as he starts with the younger teens.

PETCANCHE: Because of the recent evangelistic push there has been a renewed spirit in the church. Several have joined the church recently. We’re thankful for each one, but most of all for those who have recently been saved.

We are so very thankful for each of you who have been so generous and faithful in supporting the work here in Yucatan! God bless you richly! Appreciate your prayers for the Christmas activities just around the corner.

Your friend,
Richard L. Smith
