Prayer Letter

July-August 2010

Dear Friends,

Whew!!! This is the only word we can come up with for the past two months! We had three teams come to Belize from the states in a three-week period, and many projects were accomplished. The slab for the walk-in cooler for the feeding center is completed. Hopefully by the end of August we will have completed the walls and ceiling to begin the instillation of the cooling system. This will reduce our trips out of the village for supplies, which reduces our fuel usage. We will also be able to stock more dry goods, store more supplies, and refrigerate much more perishables. A new two-seater toilet was constructed also, and the entryway to the auditorium is almost complete.

We had a Baptismal service the end of July with a day at the river. We loaded up the buses and prayed for sunshine. Ten souls were baptized from the Valley Of Peace and two from our work in Camolote, ages ranging from 10 to 94 years. What a blessing to see those happy faces coming out of the water! We ended the service with a hot dog throw. That evening, we had a celebration service back in the Valley.

We asked you to pray for youth camp, and our prayers were answered. Eight youth accepted Christ as their Savior. The last day of camp we left the campgrounds and headed for the Valley Of Peace. Flyers were given out all over the village encouraging teens to attend a youth rally that night. Over 100 teenagers were in attendance.

Eduardo, a teenager that was saved at camp shared with his parents the decision he had made. After church Sunday night, Eduardo’s father, Jeremias, came to Ismael and asked him to come by their house. Ismael went and talked with Jeremias and his wife Salina. After their questions were answered they both bowed their heads and asked Christ to be their Savior. What a cause for celebration! Eduardo’s brothers and sisters eat at the feeding center. Another family has come to Christ as a result of the feeding center. Praise the Lord!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and dedication to the ministry in Belize. We know we could not do what God has called us to do …without you.

All for Him,
