Prayer Letter

March/April 2008

Dear Friends,

A saying I have heard and say quite frequently is, "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good." I was asked to preach the morning service in a Baptist Church in Camalote on Easter Sunday. Five people made decisions at the end of the service to accept Christ as their Savior. Sunday evening in the Valley of Peace, I preached on the resurrection, as result of the service later that week, a man and two teenagers accepted Christ. What a week!! I know every week is not like this, but it sure is good when it is.

The country of Belize in February voted in a new Prime Minister. His name is Dean Barrow and we pray that he does things for this country this term. They have found oil in Belize and it is said to be some of the such purest in the world. Since Belize is such a small country, the total use of oil for Belize would be only one third of what the country is producing. The Prime Minister hopes that in the near future we will be able to supply our oil and this would enable the country's prices of gasoline and electric to come down. What a blessing that woul be! In the last 6 years of living here we have seen prices continually increase, but the wages remain unchanged. It would be so nice to see the people here get a break.

This last couple of weeks has been busy with construction projects. We were able to complete the cement work for the driveway of the buses, and the recreation floor/future auditorium floor. It has been a real challenge due to the village turning off the piped water in mid-day We really don't understand why they do this but it happens everyday. So we have to fill our 600 gallon water tank trash barrels, buckets and anything we can get our hands on to have enough water to mix the cement. The cement is mixed and then shoveled by hand into wheelbarrows and placed in the footing sites. It makes for a long hot day, but the finished work looks great.

Our mid-week service in the Valley has been changed a little to add more for our adults. On Thursday night we have our TNT (Truth and Training) for kids and invited out adults to come too and participate in the opening exercises. Then when it's time for the kids to have lesson time, the adults go over to the feeding center building for a Bible study taught in Spanish by our Pastor in training, Ismael. It is so exciting to see the church packed out with children and adults too. We have added this ministry to our work in Bullet Tree Falls on Sunday mornings as well. Please pray that through these added services that more souls will be saved.

We are so thankful for your prayers, encouragement and support. We know we could not do what God has called us to do ... without you.

All for Him,
