In September, the teachers and I took on a project of filling out information cards on each of our church children since nearly 1,000 have passed through our gates this year alone.  By October we had a strong database to begin a visitation program. In the weeks that have followed, we have seen an incredible increase in the attendance, especially in our Sunday night classes.  The older children are getting excited and coming out to visit their friends and classmates.
Our teacher training program is trying to stay ahead of this growth. A group of teachers will be completing the course in 2 weeks and we already need more teachers for all three services!  What a blessing!

As November ends, we will complete our first semester of seminary classes at Santuario Familiar Bautista.  We offered three Bible classes and one English course for our five staff members and a few interested church members.  With finals coming, I’m not sure who has better survived the stress of our first classes – teachers or students!  But, we’re praising God together and looking forward to the next year!

Good question!  Let me summarize just a little bit of what God has allowed me to do with my Suzuki Jimny:
  • Last Sunday alone, I transported 37 children, 8 teens and a couple of adults to or from church (some neighborhoods are very dangerous)
  • I’ve taken 2 mission trips north in 4 wheel drive country with 5 first-time missionaries to help start the children’s ministry and training teachers
  • My Jimny allows me to split church errands with the Weeds, giving us more opportunity to minister.
