December 2012 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends In Christ:

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EACH OF YOU

It is hard to believe that we have reached another December. December is one of the best months of our year in Mexico for evangelism. The mind of the people has turned toward the birth of Christ and what it means in our lives. Please pray that many will be saved through the special services conducted the month.

Last month we asked you to pray for the National Baptist Bible Fellowship of Mexico that was conducted November 12-16 at Highland Baptist Youth camp south of Mexico City. The capacity of the camp has been increased to house 700 people. This year there were over 325 out of town visitor for the conference. (All arrived safe and were safe in their return home) Each year the Faith Promise Missions Office is received at this time. Over $ FIVE MILLION pesos were promised for the mission work of the CBBM. New officials of the Fellowship were not elected this year due an ongoing process with the Federal Government concerning our status with the monies collected for missions. Please make this a matter of prayer.

Beloved we are amazed at the blessings of our God upon the churches of Mexico. Especially the youth are coming alive for our Lord. Church attendance is up and souls are being saved. We wish to thank each of you for your prayers and your financial help toward our ministry. God has given us health and strength to daily be a part of this great work.

Yours for souls in Mexico,
Lonnie & Margie Smith

PS: LOREN SNYDER went home to be with the Lord this past month. Loren was a charter member of Canton Baptist Temple, Ohio and the right hand of Pastor Harold Henniger. He was very mission minded, through the church and for many years also personally supported several missionaries. We became great friends in the first mission conference of Canton Baptist Temple in the 1960’s. He was a great help personally to our ministry and us.
